Evaluation criteria

The jury is composed of eminent personalities who have comprehensive knowledge of the areas for which they serve as jurors. Their breadth of experience and their independence gives them the ability to evaluate the design quality of the works submitted. In the red dot design award every work is evaluated; there is no preselection.

Emotional quality

Does the work have a distinct atmosphere and effect?

Design quality

Is the work carried by its design and is it convincing with regards to workmanship and choice of materials or its digital execution respectively?

Effectiveness

Is the work effective, easily understandable and memorable?
