“For the sound designers of tomorrow it will become increasingly important to understand the psychological aspects of sound perception and their meaning (semantics), and thus design the respective sounds purposefully.”
Rainer Hirt, born in 1979, studied communication design at the University of Applied Sciences in Constance. After graduating, he founded, together with Michael Hoppe and Markus Reiner, Anemono Kommunikation, today audity, an agency that specialises in Audio Branding, Audio Interaction and Audio Experience. Back in 2003, he had already founded the corporate sound Internet platform audio-branding.de, a known expert resource on the topic of acoustic branding. Rainer Hirt is, among other things, the author and co-editor of the “Audio-Branding” compendium, as well as the author of the “Brand-Sound” series published in “novum” magazine. He heads research projects at various universities and, in 2008, founded the International Community for Audio Branding (ICAB).
